Ex-political journalist John Sergeant has pulled out of BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing because winning would have been "a joke too far", he has said.

The 64-year-old has received strong support from the public since the show started, but the judges have been critical of his dancing.

He told a press conference he was quitting because there was "no viable 'stop Sergeant' candidate".

He will return on Saturday's show for a "farewell dance".

This means this Saturday a contestant will still leave the competition as well as John so we still need to vote for Rachel to keep her in especially now as it's getting closer to the final.

Yesterday Rachel was featured in Celebs on Sunday, a part of The Mirror online newspaper. She was interviewed about Strictly which can be found over on our forum World of Rachel.

Rachel got the HIGHEST score of Stictly Come Dancing this season and the highest score for a Rumba ever. Her scores included a 9 and THREE 10's. She blew everyone away with her raunchy moves. She did all this in front of her fiancé Alex in the audience but obviously he was really proud of her.

Even though Rachel got a score of 39, she's not safe so make sure you vote this week. Don't let Rachel be in the dance off again.

To vote for Rachel call 09015 22 23 15 before 9:00pm tonight and make sure you tune into the results show tomorrow night at 8:15 on BBC1.

Celebrities including Rachel Stevens, Caprice and Carly Zucker have all posed in Children In Need t-shirts for the Do Something Different campaign.

Each star transformed their style to create striking images in retro, disco, geisha dolls, clowns and rockstars. The exclusive BBC Children in Need t-shirts are available from George at ASDA, with a percentage of the sales going to the charity. Children In Need airs on BBC1 on Friday November 14.

Unfortunatly after last nights episode of Stricty Come Dancing, despite their high score of 35, Rachel and Vincent were left in the bottom two and faced the dance off against Heather Small and Brian Fortuna.

Fortunatly the judges decided to keep Rachel and Vincent and they will return for next weeks show. This just shows that just because Rachel and Vincent got high scores, they are not automatically safe. So make sure you vote for Rachel and Vincent next week even if they get high scores.

After a very long time with no word from Rachel herself, she has finally left us a message over on her official forum located here.

Hello Everyone!

The wait is finally over. I'm happy to announce my website is currently undergoing a makeover and will re-launch towards the end of this year.

Thank you so much to all of you who have been patient and those who have continued to chat, speculate, and support me despite not having a great deal of official information. The forum will stay open during the make over so please continue chatting!

The past couple of years have been spent taking meetings, spending time in LA, coming home, taking more meetings, and more recently being signed for Strictly Come Dancing, I am LOVING every minute of being on that show, rehearsing with Vince, the anticipation of whats going to happen each week (well maybe not as much) and planning the activity thats been going on behind the scene's too. Hopefully the launch of the website will be an indication of what the team and I have been up to and hopefully you like it from what I've seen I think it’s going to be really exciting.

The site will be regularly updated with all my news, I'm going to be much more involved than I have been in the past which I'm looking forward to, things have been quiet for a little while, but they should start to hot up again, soon with the site launch and news I'll be able to share with you.

Please keep your eyes peeled for the new holding page. It will ask you to register so that we can email you whenever the official site is being launched, so don't miss it! Thanks again for your continued support you have been very dedicated and I value that as do all the team.

Tonight on Strictly Come Dancing Rachel and Vincent did an American Smooth mixed with a Quick Step. Rachel was lifted up in the air a number of times while racing around the floor with the Quick Step. Rachel looked amazing and finally impressed Len.

Rachel and Vincent ended up getting their highest scores yet with a score of 35 from the judges. To keep Rachel in the competition call 09015 22 23 15 before 9:30pm tonight and make sure you tune into the results show tomorrow night at 7:15 on BBC1.

Rachel Stevens has revealed that she wants to impress Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman on this week's show. The singer has failed to receive positive comments from Goodman in recent weeks, with both her Waltz and last week's Jive attracting criticism. She and dance partner Vincent Simone will perform an American Smooth on Saturday.

"We're thinking of bribing Len this week," she told Claudia Winkleman on spinoff It Takes Two. "It would be fantastic or him to really love the performance. That would be great."

The former S Club star also revealed that she was happy with her dance last Saturday. "We had a good week. We had loads of fun. I felt like I had fun. That was my goal," she said.

Simone agreed: "It was the first time I saw the sparkle in Rachel's eyes. She really came out and performed. Bloody Len. I love him, but the last few weeks there's been something wrong with him."

Finally we have a new layout up. The last one had been up for ages. This one features one of Rachel's latest photoshoots in the banner. I've named the layout 'Funny How' because it reminds me of the song.

I've also updated the gallery to include It Takes 2 Training, National Television Awards 2008 and the OK Magazine photoshoot with Alex.

Last night Rachel and Vincent did an amazing performance again. Rachel went last and heated things up once she started dancing. Their performance was one of their best and they scored a high 32 again on the judges leaderboard.

Make sure you tune into BBC1 tonight for the result show to find out if Rachel and Vincent make it through to next weeks show.

On a side note, sorry for the lack of updates around here. I've been so busy with work and college but any pictures we missed will be added to the gallery plus we have a brand new layout which should go live soon.
